Ideal for Western and Southern blotting techniques, protein transfers, colony and plaque lifts. White membranes are made of 100% nitrocellulose (no added cellulose acetate) for high binding capacity (80–100µg/cm2). Less than 1.0% extractables for cell growth and tissue culture applications. Quality controlled. To sterilize, membranes can be autoclaved (liquid cool cycle) or irradiated. Nytran SuPerCharge membranes have a very high positive charge and feature greater density of nylon. They bind three times more negatively-charged dye than typical positively-charged nylon membranes. Membranes boast uniform pore size and distribution. This consistent morphology leads to greater reproducibility of results across a membrane and from blot to blot. Membranes deliver a high signal with extremely low background when used with radioactive or non-radioactive detection techniques.
