Nalgene® Nylon Membrane Tissue Culture Filter Units ~ Sterile
These units are radiation sterilized and are ideally suited for cell culture work. Constructed with a guaranteed leakproof seal which eliminates pH shift in receiver. Manufactured using a hydrophilic, tissue-culture grade nylon membrane which exhibits less than 0.5% extractables by weight. The polystyrene upper chamber and receiver is graduated. This unit has a side arm, vent plug and quick-disconnect tubing adapter. Certified non-pyrogenic and non-cytotoxic. These are for laboratory use only and should not be used for filtration of injectable drugs / parenterals. Comes complete with filter, vent plug, tubing adapter, receiver and dust cover. The 500 and 1000ml sizes also include 12 glass prefilters. If you wish to purchase only the glass prefilters, see the bottom row of the table.

Nalgene® Sterile Bottle-Top Vacuum Filter
SFCA (surfactant-free cellulose acetate) membrane filters are designed for vacuum filtration with glass media bottles. The 0.2µm size is used for sterilization of aqueous solutions and culture media while the 0.45µm size is for particle analysis, scintillation counting, prefiltration of aqueous solutions and general cytology. The top is constructed of polystyrene and features molded graduations and a support plate that minimizes foaming. There is no need for a separate filter pad. Filter unit screws directly onto media bottles. Yellow collar is labeled with pore size and SFCA. Membranes are radiation sterilized, non-pyrogenic, and non-cytotoxic.Triton The quick-disconnect sidearm accepts ¼ to 3/8" tubing. Use only with sterile bottles designed for vacuum use. These should not be used for in vitro diagnosis or parenteral sterilization.

MF75 Vacuum Filter Units, PES Membrane, Sterile, NALGENE
Designed for vacuum filtration of liquid, these units are ideal for biological and pharmaceutical sterilization requirements. Units come with either a Supor machV or standard polyethersulfone (PES) membrane. Supor machV PES membrane is an extremely clean, low-extractable, fast-flowing, and asymmetric membrane that provides excellent throughput and low protein binding of media and other solutions. The standard PES universal tissue culture membrane is inherently hydrophilic and exhibits low protein binding, low extractable levels, and fast flow rate. The 45µm pore size, 75mm diameter membranes are suitable for particle analysis, scintillation counting, prefiltration of aqueous solutions, and general cytology. Complete units come with a bottle-top filter and a receiver. Bottle-top filters have side arms fitted with quick-disconnect tubing adapters and screw securely into 33mm or 45mm neck size bottles. Graduated upper chambers hold from 115 to 1000mL. Blue collar is printed with catalog number, membrane material, pore size, lot number, and expiration date. Certified radiation-sterilized, noncytotoxic, and nonpyrogenic.

Nalgene® Sterilization Filter Units with Cellulose Nitrate Membranes
For easy, fast, sterile filtration of 115–1000mL volumes. Instantly ready for biological filtration, cold sterilization, or cleanup of particulated solutions or buffers. Components separate easily for pouring. No need to transfer sterile filtrate to another container. NALGENE 11/2-turn threaded screw closure guarantees leakproof seal and eliminates pH shift in receivers (except for 115mL size). Receiver can be used to store filtrate. Graduations on uppers and receivers. Filter cup is printed with catalog number, lot number, membrane type, pore size, and expiration date. Nontoxic, triton-free. Preassembled and radiation sterilized.
